Paris: We were inspired by the beautiful headbands with tulle at the haute couture show by Giambattista Valli this week. Apparently Giambattista Valli wanted to create a dialogue between Coco Chanel and Janis Joplin in which he saw the free-spirited independence which both women expressed very differently, each in their personal style. That is why the pretty bow with delicate tulle might contrast perfectly with a pair of jeans this spring. Just try it out!
We show you how to do it:
ALL YOU NEED
Some tulle, a ready-made headband, some wide black silk ribbon, some super glue or a needle and some thread.
HOW TO MAKE IT
Take the black ribbon and cut it into two pieces, each about 4 cm wide and 45 cm long.
Glue each piece on the lower side of the headband and stick it further up towards the middle and make a bow at the top.
Now cut the piece of tulle so that it covers the upper part of your face and stich or stick it with superglue on the inside of the ready-made hairband.
Wait a night before you wear it so the glue is 100% dry.
