We stay at home this Easter holiday and despite our longing to travel, we want to focus on the positive side of staying at home. I know we have been all home forever by now but let’s cultivate it and make home better than anything else.
We thought about easter celebration this year and we came to the conclusion that putting a focus on the table would be just perfect.
A table is like a stage, like a platform, a gathering place. Whether you are alone, with your family or friends it is all happening in a circle around the table.
The flowers, the food, the conversation, the tableware, the tablecloth in our picture made from fabric by Manuel Canovas, everything comes together in a very small scale these days which has the benefit of focusing and being close. Close to each other and not distracted by the rest of the world.
Yes, we need the bigger picture, everything behind the horizon, but now is the time to focus, to be closer to what is already there.
Our easter table is decorated with a tablecloth by Manuel Canovas, named Aubagne Mer, the blue floral design has a calming ability to our mind, and we decided to put some flowers and greens in a rather bigger proportion on the table as a base.
Of course you can add tableware for a family meal or gifts for an easter celebration or just water and wine for a conversation with friends.
