Our knitwear is mainly driven by an artisan spirit and talent as our producers Angelika in Germany and Elena in Rome are two very unique personalities that I met through the IRMASWORLD magazine.
Actually, I would not describe them as just knitters, as they have an exceptional eye for detail, material and colour, they are more like artisan knitwear designers, I think this expression comes pretty close.
When we start thinking about a new design it usually starts with the colour of the wool and the type of wool. Personally I like tighter stitches rather than looser ones, I think they keep you warmer and also create a better shape for the knitted or crocheted piece.
For me, creating a knitted piece with Angelica or Elena is like making an illustration. You start with a sketch and build up through the colours.
Our latest designs are for the festive season. They can be worn bare skin as they are all made with organic wool and for the first time cashmere.
We mostly use vintage buttons to give them a unique detail and although we always make each design in a limited edition of just ten pieces, each one will look different as it is made entirely by hand on a different day.
All pieces are timeless and easy to care for, simply hand wash and lay flat on a towel to dry.
