Nothing is more difficult than finding the perfect shade of red lipstick to match your skin tone. Matte, shiny, deep or bright, the perfect shade of red can be transformative, adding an instant glow where it may have been lacking. There’s a reason it’s a red-carpet staple: Red lips always add a touch of glamour, whether paired with perfect make-up or a bare, natural look. To find the best red lipstick for you, find out your skin tone and whether it’s warm or cool. As a general rule, always choose a red that has the same undertone as your skin.
A catwalk perennial – and especially good for the coming Fashion Week months – there are a number of ways to wear the red lip. For a low-maintenance daytime look, blot the red with a tissue or your fingers to create a diffused finish around the lips. For evening glamour, use lip liner. Or just copy our French friends by wearing red lipstick on an otherwise bare face, as I personally like to do, with natural hair to accentuate the look.
IRMAS TIPS
I always use a lip scrub at least twice a week.
Wear lip balm every day before applying lip stick
Apply a special moisturising mask around the lips at least once a week
Avoid smoking and whistling in the shower 😉 This will keep your lip line clear and soft
