2022, A Year in Travel

Travelling is on the rise again and is defined as the new luxury.
I am not talking about the classic luxury hotel, but about the privilege of travelling to places that make you dream, make you curious or simply refuel your body, mind and soul.
The following places have stayed in my memory for different reasons.

AMOUDI FISH TAVERN SANTORINI
Santorini is a touristy place, but then we found this restaurant on the coast with the freshest catch of the day, a mild breeze and the azure sea, just as I had imagined.

GRAND HOTEL EXCELSIOR
A classic and on my bucket list every year, because you can start your day with endless walks on the beach and then take in all the cultural delights of Venice. Read more about it here

HOTEL BAUER PALAZZO
The BAUER is my favourite hotel when I visit Venice in winter. Make sure you get a room with a view of the Grand Canal so you can hear the waves on the shore. Read more about it here

The Danai is an ideal place for late summer, when the sea is still warm and the tourists are mostly gone. I like the size of this place and the friendly hospitality. Read more about it here

La Colombe d’Or, is also a classic, because this place stands still without losing its glamour. It is all about art and the guests who come back every season. Read more about it here

LE PLONGEOIR
