A quick reminder that creating something new from something that has been around for a very long time is a rewarding, sustainable action in the fashion business.
This season vintage furs seem to be more established than ever, suddenly people understand that sometimes an old, much-loved garment of value just needs a bit of upcycling to shine again.
We have been working with vintage furs since 2021 and in the beginning we were criticised for using furs. It took us some time and a lot of explaining about the benefits of vintage fur compared to faux furs, which often, not always, have very unhealthy production chains that involve chemicals, lots of water and conditions that are not fair to nature.
