PARIS: We could have stayed a couple of days, actually weeks longer to explore a few more things in town besides Fashion Week. New hotels like the Hotel Bachaumont lots of exhibitions for example the Picasso.mania exhibition at the Grand Palais, besides the art you can find while walking along the streets and all the hot spots where you find the best food in town besides the classics (yes, we still love Chez Georges in the Marais). There is constantly something new coming up and we will come back soon.

EXHIBITIONS

Alber Elbaz – Lanvin Manifesto
Maison Européenne de la Photographie until October 31st 2015. The exhibition shows you a great spectrum of fittings, the spirit and the beauty of a Lanvin show.

Volez, Voguez, Voyagez. Louis Vuitton
Grand Palais. Dec. 4th – Feb. 21st 2016. This exhibition shows the memories and portraits of the founding members of the House of Louis Vuitton and those who today are maintaining and growing its success. You will explore lots of memories, inspiration and designs that this traditional fashion house is known for.

PICASSO.MANIA
Grand Palais, Galerie Nationales until February 29th 2016. The exhibition at the Grand Palais takes a simultaneously chronological and thematic approach to the critical and artistic highlights of Picasso’s career and the myth that gradually built up around his name, showing also how he inspired other artistic movements and artists.

WINE & DINE

MONTANA (restaurant gauche caviar)
Just reopened and known for the hip crowd in the 80ies who liked to hang out here, including Grace Jones and designer Claude Montana. Book a table for dinner and stay in the house for some drinks.

LE GRAND RESTAURANT
Dine in one of Jean-Francois Piège’s latest restaurants and enjoy all the flavor of true, delicious ingredients he puts together for his signature dishes.

LA BAUHINIA, SHANGRI-LA
If you are into vegan fine dining, book a table every first Thursday night of the months or enjoy a vegan tea time created by Chef Christophe Moret, (more soon on www.irmasworld.com).

THE CLUB MATIGNON, still a classic club to visit when you go out in the 8th Arrondissement.

ACIDE par Jonathan Blot, you can actually forget about La Durée. If you feel like refuelling with something sweet, visit Jonathan Blot’s ice cream maison at Rue du Bac. The interior is pop and fun and the macarons or colourful ice creams are delicious.

SHOP ONLY IN PARIS

CHANEL, CHLOE, LANVIN, etc. There is only one true shopping experience to get the full range of latest designs and true atmosphere of a French fashion house: shop where it’s home is truly represented.

LANCEL: Look at a French fashion leather house for a new bag to carry your shopping spree around town, like for example the Cabas Enveloppe en cuir
