If your favorite scent offers a men’s version, have you ever thought about buying both of them? Referring to the two new Prada fragrances, La Femme Prada Intense and L’Homme Prada Intense, naturally their essence consists of two controversial sides – for her and him. But nonetheless they match perfectly. That’s why in my opinion there are many reasons of having a perfume duo:
First, of course, for the person you are close to as there is nothing more adorable than the scent and aura of someone you love and second because of being a woman: Some days you might also feel like using the new L’Homme Prada Intense.
Why do I think that way? As a man’s perfume it is of course primarily a scent for him but I find myself more and more borrowing not only his perfume but also his clothes, mixing them with my dresses and chiffons, not only to find a difference in style but also as I believe life consists of differences and contrast.
A woman might feel at times a masculine side in her and wants to express that in a certain moment and don’t you sometimes love the feminine side of a very masculine man? Very early PRADA felt very confident in mixing both sides to make them melt together, each in their own strong way. The Italian fashion house had been among the first to show mens- and womenswear together on the runway and you always recognize certain details from one season in both collections, men & women. These flowing identities you can also see in the perfume collection La Femme Prada and L’Homme Prada which I like a lot.
As said, I mix and match – combining a Prada menswear sweater with a floral silk skirt with feather trims, for example, and I love to use L’Homme Prada Intense on some days or on certain parts on my body and La Femme Prada Intense close to my heart, as I feel it is my most feminine side.
Both Eau de Perfumes have all the richness and pure essence of patchouli. La Femme Prada Intense combines patchouli with just the most traditional perfume ingredients: flowers. Tuberose and ylang-ylang give it a very sensual oriental, flowery bouquet. The male version also comes with the oriental touch, carried by ambra and tonca bean.
And this is why the flacon couple looks perfectly nice in your bathroom or on your beauty shelf: They are partly designed with the house’s signature Saffino leather which originates from the brand established in 1913.
