PARIS: The spring/ summer Miu Miu show in Paris last October was all about layering and adding. So typical for Miuccia Prada to add and overload it all together and come out with a simple result as if disorder were the orderly. Well done, Miuccia!
I cannot imagine wearing the complete look, but I will take elements, see what happens just trying to imagine Miuccia’s aesthetic of designing, just for myself when getting dressed.
There were quite a few accessories in the show which I spotted and thought about buying immediately. The bejewelled hairbands, the coloured fur stoles and of course the black & white pepita ribbon you can wear as a choker around your neck with feathers or as a belt, wrist wrap or around your ankle to enhance the shoes. A brilliant idea and if I could only get one item from this collection to still make the Miu Miu girl complete, I would go for that ribbon and have lots of fun with it.
IRMA’S Tip: Wear the choker band around your neckline of your polo shirt or classic chequered button down shirt and knot it to a bow, match it with high waist jeans and you instantly become a Miu Miu girl.
