Pensão Agrícola. A summer house Boutique Hotel out of a living editorial

Arriving at Pensão Agrícola is like staying at your friend’s summer house.

The small 6-bedroom boutique hotel is situated between the historic town of Tavira and the fishing village of Cacela Velha, and is close to one of the most beautiful coastal areas of the Algarve near the Ria Formosa delta and its idyllic deserted beaches. To be honest, you will not want to leave this place once you’ve arrived.

In every corner you will experience the feel and touch of a perfect summer house. Might it be the pretty smile of the friendly staff or the many beautiful interior and decoration inspirations surrounding you.

It is like a field trip through an architecture and living magazine come to life. The mix of modern with vintage furniture and artisanal ceramics make this place a design jewel.

It will not only be a feast to your eye, but also give you many interior ideas for your own home. Just having your breakfast served under the lush pergola will already  make you look forward to the rest of the days menu.

Fresh homemade bakery and jams, fruits and Portuguese cheeses, served with freshly brewed coffee make a perfect start to the day. You might want to then leave for the beach, but staying has the advantage of feeling really at home as you can relax and enjoy the solitude of the hotel.

All rooms and suites (some have their own private patio) are built in a way that you will not encounter other guests and the white washed walls of the pool area make a perfect tanning place.

You might just want to get lost in the shade of the gardens with your favourite book and go for a swim in the afternoon when Cacela Velha is getting busy and the beaches are empty.

Blue Hour is another fine moment at Pensão Agrícola when Aperitivo time is calling and the open house bar invites you to cold Gin tonics with fresh lime before dinner.

This place is a perfect summer house get away if you do not have an entire house to fill or you just want to discover the many fine small boutique Hotels at the Algarve.

IRMA’s TIPP: We suggest making a booking soon and ordering the Carob chocolate mousse for desert. Don’t worry if you forget your books, they not only have plenty of good ones, they also have pretty beach bags as well, which the owner found in South America. They are so cool that they will upgrade your summer look. Ask for more in the mini in-house Boutique vitrine, another good reason to visit😉.
