IRMA’s Travel Guide

Blue is the colour of Cannes, as the sky is mostly blue when you wake up in the morning, the micro-climate is unique and makes Cannes also a perfect travel destination in late autumn or early spring, when I love the city most; JK from IRMASWORLD putting the Travel Guide together in Cannes; IRMA’s favourite spot is on the sundeck of the Eden Roc (only 20 minutes away from Cannes) or at the quay of Port Pierre Canto overlooking La Croisette, this is how much difference this city has to offer, you can live like a millionaire or like a backpack girl and enjoy Cannes; the Marché Forville is a feast for the eye, so is Ladurée on Rue d’Antibes and check out the antique jewellery in the Carlton Hotel, opposite the hotel bar, you will find vintage FRED, Van Clef and Boucheron; my favourite sport when in Cannes: water-skiing along the coastline, rent your skis and a driver anywhere at the Plages from La Croisette. The Louis Vuitton Boutique in Cannes is different from all the others, I like the section of the women’s Prêt à Porter Boutique which has a beautiful terrace and feels like you are visiting a private home.

CANNES: Today I want to introduce you to our new series, IRMAS TRAVEL GUIDE. I often receive emails from our dear followers who ask me where to spend a weekend or which shops are unique in London, what dish to order for lunch when in Capri or how to find out which room has the best view in their favourite hotels. I love to answer these questions because I always feel like I am revisiting these places and it gives me a moment of vacation joy in return. That’s the reason why I decided to put everything together for you in our new Travel Guides.

As time goes by, more and more favourite places and things to do will be added. I started with Cannes because I was brought up there and although Cannes is famous for the stars, the festivals and of course the beautiful coastline, I would also like to show you a different side of the town.
