MILAN: I am traveling a lot, so I started to find myself in need for a small pouch for the little things in life you tend to loose in your bag (especially the bigger ones) or that are too little to take a proper handbag for. I was looking for it for a long time, but couldn’t actually find something that was satisfying. And so I started to think about creating my very own little IRMA pouch. It took me a lot of time, travelling and visiting many producers until I found that small, family-owned Italian manufacturer who fully understood what I was looking for.
Situated in Italy, in the middle between the Adria and Gran Sasso, the highest mountain of the Apennines, they produce bags of the highest quality for some of the most famous brands in fashion. I was lucky that they showed an interest in working with me. Maybe it was me being totally naive about this venture or being extremely passionate about it, I don’t know.
In any event, together we have created the small bag, made in the best available quality canvas material, with contrasting colour lining and a small slip pocket for your credit cards or business cards. The pouch has the perfect size to hold all the small things like smartphones, money, keys or make-up.
But to make it outstanding not only in quality, but also design, an IRMA silkscreen print is applied by hand individually to every pouch.
At first I just wanted to have one for myself, but my friends saw it and urged me to have one as well. And so we have produced a small series of 100 limited edition pieces with an IRMA design.

IRMAS TIP:
I just put some vibrant colours on the detail and left the canvas in a neutral powder tone that works easily with any other colour of your outfit or other accessories. We made them with orange or turquoise ribbons, but feel free to add more ribbons if you like. You could even colour your IRMA pouch and make it more personal. If you do, get some textile markers and give IRMA more colour or a patterned background.
I love my bag plain and simple and the more I use it the prettier it gets as we chose an extra strong canvas that will last forever.
