This year’s poster of the 70th Edition of the Cannes Film Festival shows Claudia Cardinale in 1959 on a rooftop in Rome. If you compared the poster with the actual photo, you’d see that the photo has been photoshopped. The Italian actress is suddenly a full size thinner at the waist. Is that because she has been dancing ever since? 😉
The actress from the movie Once Upon a Time in the West and 8 1/2 had to be made thinner to adapt to today’s beauty ideals, is what the Cannes Film Comittee organization had to say to that matter and Cardinale (78) says she has no problems with it. Cardinale, who is active on behalf of women’s rights on behalf of UNESCO, says there are more important things in life.
