Picture this: Zurich’s iconic “Lucy” Christmas lights sparkling along Bahnhofstrasse, a scene best admired from the elegant comfort of Room 210 at the recently reopened Mandarin Oriental Savoy. Following a meticulous refurbishment, the boutique grand hotel opened its doors just over a year ago, offering a perfect blend of heritage and contemporary luxury.
With just 80 rooms and suites, the hotel feels intimate yet grand, a hidden gem within walking distance of the lake and the heart of the city. It’s the kind of place where every detail exudes sophistication, from the marble-clad bathrooms to the plush, cloud-like bedding.
Our weekend itinerary was simple but exquisite. We strolled beneath Zurich’s glittering Christmas lights, stopping at festive markets and chic boutiques before indulging in a memorable dinner at Orsini, the hotel’s Italian gem. Here, delicate handmade pasta and velvety tiramisu pair beautifully with the warm, inviting ambience.
The Mandarin Oriental Savoy is not just a place to stay – it’s a front-row seat to Zurich’s most magical season, where luxury and festive charm create unforgettable memories.
