Last night TOMMY AIR, the branded Tommy Hilfiger jet, landed in LA International Airport, packed with models ready to walk the show today at 5.00 p.m. local time. The first out of New York Tommy Hilfiger show will be everything else than the usual catwalk. “Tommyland” , the name of the collection and TommyxGigi will feature amusement rides, local food trucks, graffiti artists, roller skaters, acrobats, fire-throwers and two surprise musical performances, all in the golden Californian sun at Venice Beach.
For the first time you will see some 2000 top clients who can actually buy the look right from the runway and only 1000 professionals of the usual fashion crowd attending the event.
The 157 pieces of the show’s collection can be bought right away at concert merchandise-style pop-ups, including customisable items that can be individually decorated with badges, patches and screen-printing. Heaven for any instagram account!
