We went and took some inspirations for our summer home.
The Carvalhal Beach is one of Europe’s most beautiful coastlines with kilometres of white sand and dunes. This natural reservoir invites you for long walks and a relaxed lunch.
The focus is on deliciously cooked homemade food with local products, fish from the Atlantic sea and a selection of wines from Portugal. In Comporta you live basically on the white, soft sand, as even some houses have sand combined in their interior.

This signature dish is a must , black octopus’ risotto , to eat by itself or as a side dish with a seabass.
The interior design for the Sublime Comporta Beach Club was designed by …., they combined classic materials known for this region of Portugal, lots of wood, rustic and natural fabrics, sand colours and handmade ceramics, most of the products are handmade in Portuguese manufactures.
We like the ideas of dried flowers in ceramic vases. The bushes and flowers grow wild behind the dunes and make a decorative flower bouquet . Also try the sugar free Sangria made with passion fruit, perfect for an Aperitivo.
…or watch the sun go down with a glass of rosé. The beach is known for one of the most beautiful sundowners in Portugal and the Beach Club is the place to be at the end of the day.
