London calling. Where to go around town this week

So far London Fashion week is a coloured plate with all kinds of different tones and ideas.

We got inspired by the Danish stylist Jeanette Friis Madsen wearing deep green flared pants and a striped sweater and scarf. So far that look sets us in the mood for all kind of coloured things around town.

 

CHRISTIAN DIOR: DESIGNER OF DREAMS at The Victora & Albert Museum

Spanning 1947 to the present day, this exhibition traces the history and impact of one of the 20th century’s most influential couturiers, exploring the enduring influence of the fashion house, and Dior’s relationship with Britain. Get in the mood for red, a Dior classic color.

ORCHIDS: CELEBRATE THE COLOUR OF COLOMBIA at Kew, Royal Botanical Garden

Explore the incredible biodiversity of Colombia through Kew’s spectacularly colourful orchid display. This year, the focus is on Colombia, the world’s most biodiverse country, through a spectacular ensemble of orchid-laden displays, like the carnival of animals, depicting a toucan in flight, a hanging sloth and a swimming turtle.

Take a break and get your nails painted in the colours inspired by London Fashion week. Like the original Cowshed Spa from Babington House in Somerset, there are many local spas scattered all over London, which have the ambiance of a home from home sociable vibe, where you can relax and unwind, of course, it is all about beauty.

Lily Vanilli is known in London as a self-made baker of Columbia Rd Café. Her cakes, pastries and cookies look like little jewels on a plate.
Check their Instagram account for weekly fresh bakes, they serve locally roasted Coleman coffee, which tastes delicious.
