Kimono, the timeless jacket

Just before the Pandamic I visited the V&A Museum in London for a great exhibition on kimonos, I asked myself the question, how should the kimono be styled in the 21st century? It is no longer necessary to see the kimono as a ceremonial object, and many designers, like John Galliano when he was at Dior, dedicated an entire show to the kimono jacket.
Four years later, I know why, because we believe that a kimono jacket is the perfect piece to dress up or effortlessly dress down any look.

It is an easy piece to wear, especially when it is reversible for multiple styling options. It can also be worn loosely or with a belt to create different silhouettes and, at the very least, create an artisanal look by using unique fabrics, which is part of the tradition of kimono tailoring.

In our capsule collection, we drop a series of new kimono jackets every now and then. Most of them are reversible and all of them are tailored in Germany with Maison Pierre Frey fabrics. Here are the latest ones.
