IRMAS Advent Calendar – 24th December

24th DECEMBER: Afternoon tea may be an an English tradition, but I like to enjoy it also during my travels. Who would have thought that a wonderful place to enjoy a classic afternoon teatime is in Vienna, at the Kempinski Palais Hansen’s Lobby Lounge and Bar, a sort of living room for locals and visitors alike. They serve a wide range of teatime delights, both sweet and savory, from finger sandwiches to scones with raspberry jam and clotted cream and wonderful patisserie creations like lemon meringue macarons, Praline of green tea and thyme or pumpkin parfait with caramelized pistachios.

FOR WHOM IT MIGHT BE PERFECT: For the Vienna over, the teatime lover, the sandwich admirer, the sweets aficionado. So, basically for all of us.
