Frozen Elegance: The I.C.E. St. Moritz

Amidst the shimmering snow of the Engadin, where winter’s embrace meets visionary design, an extraordinary celebration unfolds. In the heart of St. Moritz, The I.C.E., The International Concours of Elegance, stands as a beacon of refined innovation – a seamless fusion of alpine elegance and automotive artistry.

Here, the famous frozen lake is transformed into a crystalline runway, its surface reflecting both the storied legacy of classic automobiles and the daring spirit of modern engineering. A weekend dedicated to style, to the love of beauty and elegance, celebrating unique automobiles as original works of art and offering various opportunities for cultural enrichment.
The 52 cars, admired by the public for their beauty and historical significance, are the real protagonists of the static exhibition on the frozen lake on the first day of the Concours, which also includes some dynamic sessions dedicated to modern vehicles, where exclusive Pagani and Maserati models will be unveiled.

On Friday afternoon, after a meticulous evaluation by the jury, the Best in Class awards were presented to the best car in each of the five categories.

On Saturday, the spectacle intensified as the cars take to the ice for spirited laps, their dynamic movements a ballet of speed and grace culminating in the coveted Best in Show. The winner received the trophy from Sir Norman Foster, who also designed the award. The winner, by the way, was renowned designer Marc Newson with his Bugatti 59.

More than an exhibition, this is an immersive experience where every gleaming chassis and meticulously crafted detail tells a story of passion, precision and relentless innovation.
