Fall Paris culture dip

When it comes to a short break with a cultural experience, one thinks of Paris, no matter what time of year. Actually, autumn is pretty good for this with new exhibitions and lots of new restaurants, and the city belongs to the Parisians as tourists like to stay away in foggy autumn weather.

We immersed ourselves in the city and picked new (and trusted) places to eat well, looked at new hotels, and picked the exhibits that we wanted to see. Here comes IRMA’s autumn guide for the City of Lights.

Room at MADAME REVE

There are many new hotels, especially in the 1st arrondissement. Most of them are super stylish, like MADAME REVE, which has beautiful rooms and garden restaurant, as well as windowed sauna to keep you well and relaxed during your stay.

Paris is all about discovery and walking (or biking!) around the city so you can see more. We visited the Cartier and Islamic art exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (link), strolled through our favourite market Président-Wilson near Trocadereo and looked at the new Samaritaine, which, according to my taste, is especially worth a visit because of the shoe department.

Hotel Chateau Voltaire

The newly opened Chateau Voltaire belongs to Monsieur Thierry Gillier, the owner of Zadig & Voltaire. He created a place with a new verve that has chateau like influences paired with a retro chic Parisian style. We love the flower arrangements in the entrance and the Brasserie Emil.

Gigi’s Paris, La poule Au Pot

More new addresses for lunch and dinner. GIGI`S is new in Paris, has one of the best roof terraces with a view of the Tour d`Eiffel and the best pizza in town. My favorite is not new, but a classic of French cuisine the way I like it, La poule Au Pot.

House bar at the Hotel Chateau Voltaire

House bars and Hotel room bars are getting more and more important during the pandemic as we like to entertain privately without missing all the dash.
Chateau Voltaire has a good Cocktail bar in most rooms

Of course we had to visit the latest Vogue France exhibition at the Palais Galliera, where you always meet the best street styles in front of the museum. Browse through their book store and for this exhibition I got inspired by the many fashion illustrations.

Paris has the best Hair salons and we wrote an article about it (here). Now, I have rediscovered STUDIO MARISOL, the latest salon just opened at Palais Royal and visiting is not only about getting a new cut, find out for yourself.

Be inspired by the most beautiful bouquets in town, like the one at Chateau Voltaire for example

Pizza Margherita at Gigi’s , don’t forget the hot oil

Another hot spot when it comes to dining is Jean – Francois Piége`s restaurant MIMOSA at the Hôtel de la Marine serving a new food concept in Paris: Like for example, deviled egg (or “oeuf mimosa” in French). You will find the Riviera spirit in most dishes like roosted Oregano, dipped in olive oil , served you with baguette.
