Beauty that comes with the room

The recently opened Hotel Bauchaumont seems to put an emphasis on their bathrooms and the amenities that come with it. We like not only the simple interior of the light-flooded salons de bains but also their beauty products exclusivly sourced in Italy  So we think it is one more reason to visit this new hotel and leave your skin care products at home to use something new and good. PARIS: Nowadays travelling has to be easier than ever and we are thinking practical but still want to spoil our senses and skin with the best amenities we are using at home. So the other day I wanted to find out which amenities are used by which hotel in order to save space and time when packing my luggage to travel around the world.

Most leading hotels, but also more and more smaller ones are offering the best skincare products you can find and there is no need to bring your own. It saves space in your suitcase and maybe it also gives you an occasion to try something new.

Let’s start in Paris with BLAISE MAUTIN for the PARK HYATT VENDÔME which was found by the hotel’s perfumer, Pier-Marie Le Moigno. In the hotel room you will find anything from a good body scrub to a hydrating milk and if you want to add some more atmosphere to your room, you can order from room service a perfumed candle, available with the same fragrance as the spray which extends the Blaise Mautin range of products and is perfect for relaxation.

If you are planning a road trip around the Badische Weinstrasse between the Black Forest, Alsace and the Rhine this autumn, stop by the HOTEL RITTER in Durbach, stay overnight for a wine tasting and enjoy a massage and vino treatment in a historic spa house overlooking the vineyards. In your room you will get the hotel’s own body care line which is made without parabens, paraffin, alcohol and silicone and contains organic grape extract.

Next time you are in New York City, book a room at the HOTEL AMERICANO, which carries all AESOP products, even my favorite primrose facial hydrating cream which I always take home with me on the flight back to hydrate my skin on board.

And when you are looking for small special places to stay, you can be almost sure that the beauty amenities will be a good choice like the ones we found at the COMPANHIA DAS CULTURAS in the southern part of the Algarve this summer. The products in the room are from an old Portuguese enterprise called Real Saboaria, including a  gel for body and hair and a body lotion. The container is a miniature of a traditional basket which was handmade for each room
(see picture on front slider).
