Aperitivo Time

RAMATUELLE: Today I visit my friends at Villa Marie, the latest project from Jocelyne and Jean-Louis Sibuet, the team behind La Bastide de Marie and Les Fermes de Marie. Villa Marie is a great combination of a perfectly quiet location, a peaceful, classic atmosphere, and elegant, summery interiors, one of the Sibuet trademarks. Alors, the perfect place for an aperitif.

When I entered the hotel and saw the very cosy bar, I immediately thought of a chilled glass of colour-matching rosé, as all the colours at the bar and restaurant come in different shades of intense orange.

The view overlooking the hills of Ramatuelle, a ten-minute drive from St. Tropez is stunning and close enough to Pampelonne Bay’s famous beaches. Besides the Villa Marie’s perfect interiors you can also enjoy a full-service spa, a Mediterranean restaurant, a striking Celadon swimming pool carved from the hillside’s rock, and generally a pervasive atmosphere of effortless laid-back cool, making it hard to see why anyone bothers dressing up for St. Tropez at all.

Please note that the Villa Marie is a seasonal hotel and is open each year from late April through early October.
