We always have dreamed about a perfect home swap, but is it easy to find? The online platform Behomm  makes it possible with only creative members who share the same passion for art, design and of course beautiful and inspiring places. Join the club or just be inspired looking at the interiors.

IRMA talked to Agustí Juste and Eva Calduch, who are the co-founders of Behomm in Barcelona and who have been running their own graphic design studio for more than 23 years.

IRMA: How did you come up with the initial idea?
AGUSTI JUSTE & EVA CALDUCH: We created Behomm because we personally needed it. After several home exchanges we realized we were always searching for like-minded people and wasting a lot of time to find them in other exchange sites. We also got captured by the idea of how beautiful it would be to connect all creatives and design lovers worldwide with a similar passion for tasteful things. We launched Behomm in March 2013.

IRMA: Under which aspects are you editing the homes and home owners which are shown on your website?
AGUSTI JUSTE & EVA CALDUCH: We recommend all members to fill in the notes, explain who they are, upload family portraits. We all like to see the faces of potential exchange guests. Also we recommend to add photos of the interesting spots in their neighborhood, hidden squares, cool restaurants, etc…

IRMA: Do you also give home owners tips and ideas for presenting their homes?
AGUSTI JUSTE & EVA CALDUCH: We don’t give any tip on that. Our community is made of creatives: stylists, photographers, etc… they know better than us how to present their homes.

IRMA: Do you have any tips on how to feel at home instantly at somebody else’s home?
AGUSTI JUSTE & EVA CALDUCH: We think there are no tips on this, it’s a state of mind. If it’s a clean and comfortable home, we feel at home right away.

IRMA: What would you always bring with you when exchanging a different home?
AGUSTI JUSTE & EVA CALDUCH: Nothing especial… toothbrush, a book… We pack a very small suitcase. Our loved ones is all we need. We love to travel with our kids and their partners and friends. So much fun!

IRMA: Is it creatively inspiring to live at another artist’s or creative person’s home?
AGUSTI JUSTE & EVA CALDUCH: Yes, indeed. You enter their life, their books, their music cds, movies, art… Many times we don’t want to leave the house.
