HERMÈS, UN JARDIN A CYTHÉRE
For the seventh incarnation of Hermès’ Parfums-Jardins collection, Swiss perfumer Christine Nagel takes us to the island of Kythira in the Peloponnese. She imagined Greece as a delicate layering of three key elements: Golden grasses, olive wood and fresh pistachio, all composed from Nagel’s memory. Usually when she starts a perfume, she travels to the destination to experience and collect the different scents. This time was different because Covid started and travelling was not possible, so she created this citrus and woody scent from memory.
SISLEY, EAU DE RÉVÉE
The latest launch from Maison Sisley, Les Eaux Rêvées, is a new collection of six unisex fragrances designed to represent “the meeting and synergy of the inspirations of the different generations of the d’Ornano family”, owners of the Sisley brand.
L’Eau Rêvée d’Eliya ~ is a bouquet of tropical flowers after the rain, with bergamot, lemon, floral notes, jasmine, tuberose, violet leaves, cedar, amber and patchouli. Use it alone or layer several scents together to create your own personal fragrance.
BYREDO, BAL D’AFRIQUE
Bal d’Afrique by Byredo is a unisex, ambery-woody fragrance inspired by Paris in the late 1920s and its infatuation with African culture, art, music and dance. The unisex Bal d’Afrique fragrance was launched in 2009. The nose behind the fragrance is Jérôme Epinette. Dominant notes are Amalfi lemon, marigold, blackcurrant, bergamot and African orange blossom; middle notes are violet, cyclamen and jasmine; base notes are vetiver, musk, amber and Virginia cedar.
DIPTIQUE, EAU DUELLE
A homage to travel and vanilla. Along the spice route, the vanilla at the heart of Eau Duelle takes on new aromas: luminous, addictive accents of calamus and dark, smoky nuances of cypriol. Travelling through time and across borders, Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar reveals itself between darkness and light.
OFFICINE UNIVERSELLE BULY, HUILE ANTIQUE
Huile Antique is a blend of natural beautifying oils – sesame, apricot and coconut – with squalene, a vegetable extract from olive oil. Thanks to its biomimetic action, it has a natural affinity with the epidermis and acts as a natural emollient. 99% of the ingredients are of natural origin and can also be used as a light perfume with a soothing effect on the skin.
