Purple rain, lilac again

Lilac or purple is a peculiar colour, not loved by everyone, often associated with clerical fabrics or school uniforms in case you went to a British boarding school, but actually it can be pretty for spring if you wear it toned down and mixed with other colours.
Some designers like Victoria Beckham, Dries van Noten and even earlier collections by Miuccia Prada love to use purple. It is definitely a statement colour and don’t be afraid to use it boldly and beautifully.
Also try some new make-up shades in purple, like this summer’s Chanel nail polish.

IMMORTELLE, or the two shades of purple lipstick from Dries van Noten that come in a new refillable lipstick case. We also love the new Clarins Lip Comfort Oil shimmer in purple rain, which we love to use as an eyeshadow, and of course Byredo’s PURPLE ECHO eyeshadow palette.

The trick with purple or violet is that it looks better if you wear it more boldly, from head to toe, or mix it classically with ultra marine blue or a light mint or rosé, like Victoria Beckham. If you are a purple lover, go for the big floral prints at Dries van Noten or mix it with our artisan handmade knits.
