Some places linger in the mind like a memory, even before you leave. Les Roches Rouges, quietly poised on the coast of Saint-Raphaël, is one of those rare places to stay, as it is positioned right next to the sea, which is uncommon for a hotel along the Côte d’Azur.
In June 2025, the Beaumier landmark will reveal a considered expansion with 25 new rooms, each of which will be a quiet ode to the elemental beauty of the Mediterranean. Right next to the existing hotel.

Designed by Antoine Ricardou and Clémentine Larroumet of Atelier Saint-Lazare, the extension does not seek to outshine the original; it listens, observes and continues the story with elegance and artistry. The spirit remains: unpolished, sun-kissed and effortlessly chic.
Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto private terraces where sky and sea blur together. Inside, the mood is clean and tactile yet inspired by modernism. Blue-toned artworks echo the shifting tides, and Caroline Denervaud’s painterly gestures capture the feeling of fleeting movements. Sculptural objects punctuate the rooms with a quiet sense of balance, adding a personal touch to each space.

These are not rooms designed to impress at first glance; they unfold slowly. The luxury here lies in the texture of the linen, the rustle of the pine trees in the breeze and the way the sunlight moves across the floor at midday, as well as in the many little details: illustrated postcards, curated vintage books and art pieces. Everything invites you to pause, breathe and feel the salt on your skin, letting go as you do so.

As ever, Les Roches Rouges is more than just a hotel. It is a sensibility, a certain kind of silence and a way of seeing. With this new chapter, it continues to be a place not just to stay, but to truly arrive.
You can book a yoga or Pilates class on the terrace of the new building or enjoy a siesta on the private beach, which belongs exclusively to the new section of the hotel and overlooks the cliffs and the blue horizon.

It’s the perfect place to welcome the summer and enjoy the seaside to the fullest. Book a table in advance at the three-star Michelin Fish restaurant, Récif, located on the top floor of the main building. Ask for an outdoor massage on the beach and enjoy the many carefully curated art books in the new communal area by the restaurant, which will take your mind off things.
