This season tights are a must-have accessory. The focus is on the legs when it comes to the perfect completion of our favourite fashion look. Almost every designer is mixing some bright or toned coloured stockings into their collection. Kanye West’s Yeezy even built an entire concept of tight leggings to be at the centre of his loungewear collection.
They keep us warm, make our legs look slim and toned and they even have health benefits if they come in a compression material like the ones from Falke, which are known for their technical high performance and materials developed with advanced technology.

IRMA talks about her preferred way to wear tights this season:
TWO TONED
The shoe and the colour of the stockings match perfectly. Choose the same hue but one is a slightly darker or lighter colour. A darker shade for the leg and a slightly lighter shoe colour is the perfect leg lengthener when wearing a skirt or dress.
MORE GREEN
A total look in one colour, and why not green? Definitely makes a high impact. We prefer matte green colours or khakis — great to wear at nighttime and most daring during the day.
HIGH CONTRAST
Make your stocking peek out and choose an open shoe or sandal. The trick is to use very different tones and colours, creating a strong contrast and making the stockinged feet part of the shoe design. Red and black as seen at Gucci Fall/Winter 2016/17 is our classic all-time favourite.
PRETTY BALLERINA
Think of latex, spandex, leggings or cut off the top of your tights for an instant ballerina look and an interesting way to keep your ankles warm. Did you know that this part of your leg is the most fragile one? Protect and keep it covered as the pros do.
LOUNGEWEAR
It’s now officially a look, not only for your yoga class but also when hitting the Ritz. Long, trained legs are a must or wear a long coat on top, definitely the most comfortable dress coat that even makes you want to run home after work instead of taking the cap.
