IRMAS favourite painted rooms

Jasmin Khezri in the reading Room at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo

When I recently visited the newly refurbished Grand Hotel Tremezzo at Lake Como in Italy I realized how much influence a wall paint can have on your mood.

Lighting is one thing, but colour has so much power. It is about tonality, density and strength of colour and how you can create a mood for a location and enhance its concept.

Here are our favourite public locations you should visit to get the idea about the power of colour. The Reading Room of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo sets a good example and the newly opened Coral Room at the Bloomsbury Hotel is a must visit when in London next time.
