IRMA & GRETA Dirndl: designing this year’s Bavarian Tracht

We have created two different dirndls inspired by traditional Bavarian costume-making and alpine craftsmanship. They will put you in the mood for this year’s Oktoberfest or a weekend in the Bavarian countryside.

As you may already know, the Jasmin Khezri Collection is tailored in an atelier outside Munich, and our main goals are sustainability in production and the finest fabrics.
Therefore, the dirndls are made with stock fabrics from previous collections to create two unique traditional costume dresses in pale rosé and jade green hues.

They are all tailored from 100% cotton, with vintage buttons and cotton ribbons, and the fabrics are woven with two different types of thread to create the most natural-looking shades of colour.

The colour combinations and inspiration come from the Bavarian countryside near Tegernsee, where Jasmin designed these two traditional costumes.

Drawing inspiration from Bavarian heritage and craft, yet incorporating the distinctive features of her JK collection, such as coloured cotton ribbon trims and natural fabrics, these two very different dirndls offer a contemporary take on traditional Bavarian attire, while remaining true to tradition and showcasing the finest tailoring.

Each dirndl consists of three pieces (apron, dress and blouse) which can also be ordered separately.

You can also create your own combination and choose the apron you like, or the blouse in crisp white or with a linen stripe.
Please send us your waist and bust measurements so our tailors can ensure the perfect fit. Please allow five to seven days for production, and take a look at some of our ideas for accessorising your dirndl, such as wearing it with a vintage belt and no apron, or adding a vintage brooch for a charming detail.
