Shopping on Antiparos rewards with unique style. At Beach House, a concept store, its racks are shadowed by a small, well-edited selection of organic cosmetics, open from 10am. From there, the island’s retail map extends to Rooster, a concept store with a similarly curatorial eye and beautiful jewellery, and Leto, whose boutique holds its own quiet authority, and Yria, whose handcrafted ceramics and jewellery have anchored the island’s shelves since 1977.
The addition this season is Kyr Lakis, newly arrived from Athens, a family business now in its next generation, working in woodblock prints translated into fabric, curtains, pillows and porcelain, each piece carrying the weight of craft. A Lighter Register
For something lighter in between, Afros serves homemade food, largely vegan, in a setting suited equally to a full meal or simply a coffee and a healthy snack, the kind of place you go to stock up your kitchen in your holiday home if you only want to do light cooking.

Culture rounds out the weekend at Gallery Antiqua, a pop-up transplant from Athens, showing modern and contemporary work by artists like Brian Rochefort, who clearly understand that an island audience is no less discerning than a city one.
